FrogID Nov 8 - 17th

 7 November 2019

Pollination Week - keep logging those bees! The Australian Museum is also asking for help to gain a snapshot of Australia’s frogs during the same period between November 8th (this Friday) and November 17th.

Its easy to take part. Load the (free) Frog ID app on your smart phone, register, and when you hear frogs (wherever you are in Australia),  whip out your phone, activate the app and make a recording. The app records location and time automatically. No frog (or suspected frog) sound is too boring, or uninteresting. There is no requirement to identify the sound maker.

More information can be found at: https://www.frogid.net.au/

Last year’s Frog Week recorded  6954 frogs in ten days, 3,308 people took part, and 95 frog species were recorded.

THEN, make another recording to upload to BCNM! (Use the voice record feature on your phone.)
