BCNM is working with Milton Rural Landcare and Shoalhaven Transition towards a conducting a program of BioBlitzes during 2020. This involves volunteers working as a team to facilitate community members recording species occurring in a particular location.
Libby Hepburn from the Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness and the NatureMapr network, will run an afternoon workshop between 2-4pm on conducting BioBlitzes.
Libby recently assisted the Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness to organise a bioblitz in Bega. She has had a great deal of experience in this area and is a major contributor to the Australian Bioblitz Hub and other significant citizen science initiatives.
If you are interested in learning more about bioblitzes and/or helping us prepare for bioblitzes – large or small, please join in. This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in getting involved, as well as Council and other natural resource managers.
