Sunday 22 March Join NPA Milton for an historical or nature walk followed by a party – with cake.
Milton National Parks Association (NPA) branch is celebrating 60 years and members and non-members are invited to the party. Choose one of 3 short walks (start 9.15 or 10), to discover the ancient or modern history of Ulladulla. At 11am join celebrations at Rotary Park, Ulladulla. BYO everything, but cake provided. Join the party even if you don’t go on a walk.
Gondwana Land Fossil Walk – Our Land before People - a fascinating journey led by Mike Jefferis through the time when Australia was part of Gondwanaland. Learn what rocks and fossils tell you about our history and discover the fossils representing life millions of years ago. An easy walk suitable for all.
Warden Head Walk – First Nation’s Land before Europeans arrived - a walk with Aboriginal Tour Guide Victor, experience some Aboriginal history of Warden Head. Take in the sights of the coastline and bushland as Victor shares his knowledge of traditional bush tucker and medicines, used for tens of thousands of years by the Murramarang people. Easy walk, about 5km.
Millard's Creek – Early History of Our Town - Shane Carriage is CEO of Ulladulla Local Aboriginal Land Council, and will take you on a walk along Millard’s Creek and recount how it was growing up on Millard’s Creek, how it developed and a story or two of local adventures and mishaps. An easy 3km walk along Millard’s Creek and return.
