Really? So the clam shell sort of shape and what looks like growth rings around the lower edge are just coincidental?

Now that I have looked at this on my computer rather than my phone,it is not a drop stone but I don't think it is a bivalve either. It might be a Brachiopod. I will get Ian to look at it. How big is it?

Sorry, it's an old photo so I don't recall the size. I'd guess at a couple of inches across.
