tiny purple sea slug found at Rosedale. Seen swimming by rocks at low tide. Exquisite.

I think this might be Sagaminopteron ornatum which is apparently a bubble snail? Its lovely Helen whatever it is.

Thanks Libby, I couldn't believe the colours when my husband showed me and it was so small I found it hard to photo. We saw it swimming which was amazing.

We have discovered that several of the Sea slugs swim. Liz and I found an Aplysia extraordinaria which is a big sea hare, swimming in Tanja lagoon, and now LynB has just photographed an Aplysia sydneyensis swimming in Burrill Lake - have a look on your NatureMapr Sea slugs sightings. Your little one is another exquisite example - aren't they all fantastic!
