At top of Ben's walk as well as lower down the cliff.

It is helpful to have a photo of a whole plant as well as the photos you have already got. The dots on the back of a leaf in photo 1 suggest that this plant might be in one of the families with aromatic leaves eg Myrtaceae or Rutaceae.

Dodonaea truncatiales occurs along the river - so check this species as it looks more likely by the photos.

Good tips - thank you. Will likely get back there in a week or so and get more pics. The buds (prob'y not seed pods) may have formed more clearly by then.

I agree, the upright way it is holding its leaves and the waxy look strongly suggests truncatiales to me. Its a good match for my photos of that species.
