Probably about 15m high but broken in the storms overnight so lost its top branches. Flowers starting greeny-yellow, long (10cm), narrow (6 cm circumference) but changing to larger green, then pale yellow. Leaves are not serrated but are green on topside and white with green veins on underside, leathery, in whorls of 4, 5 or 6. Cones are about 7 to 12cm long some have large dark brown growths on them suggesting in this case that the tree may be diseased. Follicles are mostly open now with no seeds inside. Much loved by, in particular, the Yellow Tailed black cockatoos. Growing on poor clay soil.
