There are a few of these trees around the cleared area and there were many more in the forests, which I assume will regenerate after the fires.

Have a look at: https://budawangcoast.naturemapr.org/Community/Sightings/Details/4247118. To confirm I would look for the distinctive ribbed fruits on the ground. It looks like the tree was flowering when the photos were taken? If yes to both then the ID is OK.

Yes, looks to be the same, thank you. A number of them are flowering right now.
