Thank you for your great recording and habitat photo! We are hoping to get a better understanding of exactly when different frog species are calling and how that changes over time and with weather, so please do record often (once a night or once a week or as often as you can!), even if it’s the same frogs calling at the same place. Every recording helps us better understand and conserve frogs- thank you!
Did you know, by visiting and recording calls at the same location over weeks or months, we can track frog populations over time, and identify if something changes.
Keep recording frogs whenever you hear them and participate in science!
Dr Jodi Rowley & the FrogID team
I recorded sound via the Frog ID app and the above ID came from one of their team Gary. The sound file isn't available on their app so I'll be sure to use the sound recorder app next time. I've never heard frogs in that part of Bomaderry Creek before, so amazing what some rain does!
Crinia signifera is such as common species that occupies all habitat types except rainforest. If it goes out then we are all in for trouble! I think I know that part of Bomaderry Ck - it looks like the old road not far from the electricity easement. I have detected Crinia there before myself.
