The inclusion of a thorn image might have been good too! Interestingly, with the green leaf underside this looks like subsp spinosa, not the subsp lasiophylla that we have on the far south coast, which has a whitish leaf underside. I'm not sure where the change-over occurs, but probably somewhere around Nowra, as I've never seen subsp spinosa in Eurobodalla LGA at all.

Ha! I looked for a thorn but couldn't find one, probably because the plant reached high above me.... I'll keep my eyes peeled for the whitish underside ssp. Thanks.
