Background: On 1 July 2017, the Biosecurity Act 2015 was enacted. This legislation repealed the Noxious Weeds Act 1993 along with a number of other pieces of NSW legislation.
One of Shoalhaven City Council’s functions under the Act is “to develop, implement, co-ordinate and review weed control programs”
Council’s Biosecurity Weed Management Unit has developed a number weed management plans to assist land managers and residents meet their obligations under the Act.
